Read the release notes of all the recent versions of Red Hat.  They all
recommend completely removing Ximian before doing an upgrade or bad
things will occur due to ugly differences in packaging and dependencies.

Unfortunately I think Ximian almost gave up on their desktop
distribution, instead working on Gnome2 and Mono.  I deeply worry about
their financial situation... kinda hard to continue in business with
little chance of revenue.

Their "Ximian Connect" product that allows Evolution to connect to
Microsoft Exchange IMHO is their only value product they have at the
moment.
