The article is not real clear what os the machines running a linux pos
terminal are actually using.  Some could be thin clients, but many are like
what Jeff deals with, windoze boxes that use a windows based telnet program
like CRT from www.vandyke.com to actually emulate the terminal.  I do not
know of any that run a light version of linux at the register terminal while
executing the pos code on a remote server.(yet)
