[luau] parallel port ZIP question ....

I'm running Mandrake 8.1 at home, and I have a Parallel port zip
drive connected up to it.

I usually turn off everything except the omputer itself when I'm not
using it, and I often forget to power up the Zip drive if I reboot
the machine.

Is it possible to "wake up" the Zip drive and get the system to see
it if I didn't have it turned on during the boot up? Or do I just
have to make sure to power up the ZIP anytime I reboot?
