things disappearing

I seem to lose things more frequently than they crash.  I remember one 
time I had like 4 copies of Mozilla running, quite a feat since Moz 
isn't usually regarded as the stablest beast :).  I guess windows does 
have a better system for not losing things, oh wait...that's juse 
because it completely lacks virtual desktops... heh
