Sparc Linux?

Well, back to the Netra X1 - iirc, there is still work being done to get Linux to boot and use the hardware. Join #sparc on OPN and ask around. There might be some people hacking on it. I know that some Sparc developers bought these boxes.

As far as 1U cases go... Boom makes a great 1U case - and most ATX motherboards will fit into a 1U case. The PCI risers come with the case, although you can special order them if they get misplaced. The only thing to keep in mind is that you'll have to get special "backplates" for your PCI cards if you use them in a 1U... some cases require a shorter backplate.
