[LUAU] Downloading Linux.

I've been wondering, instead of buying a complete distribution, how to
download the whole Linux distribution from a FTP site such as Redhat's and
put it on a CD for installation.  I just checked out Suse's ftp site and
found that the whole Suse 6.0 directory is probably bigger than 600MB in
size, which makes it impossible to make a CD for installation.  Do I need
to download all the stuff under the Suse6.0 directory?  If no, what should
I download so that I can have a successful installation.  any pointers?
