Phone line? Umm.m. call GTE/AT&T/Oceanic... the technology is called Frame
Relay and it doesn't need no stinkin phone lines.

Hardware wise? Practically anything works from what i understand. What
works with Linux is questionable. I believe Sagnoma (sp) makes a Linux
FRAD. (Frame Relay Assembler/Disassembler)

nod... I'm still trying to figure out a cheap way to do it. And yes, it'll
bring it down, but I think we can make it more or less stable. It all
depends on a good Dynamic DNS client. Email me for more details if you're
interested.

Letting you know however, using a cable modem in this fashion violates
your user agreement. I think.

Well, that seems to be all I can think of. But if you're looking for cheap
but not reliable, (but fast) a VPN using Oceanic might be intersting. As a
cheap project... and probably not offically anyhow.

bye.
