ok folks,
Yet ANOTHER power outage in HIG and this one is longer than we have
batteries...the worst part is that I'm out of town, so I need the sysadmins
to think about getting the mirror down to single user mode before 7:45am on
the 1st....

Hi All,
  Sending this to the folks that have equipment in the
HIG319 Data Center.  There will be a power and A/C outage
this weekend for HIG.

  The A/C outage will not effect the room but the Power outage
will.  We will be shutting down the PDU's to the racks at
7:45am (power outage at 8am) and turning the power back on to
the PDU's at 9am (power scheduled to return at 8:45am)

  If you would like your equipment to go down nicely, please be
sure to shut it down before 7:45am.   You can bring it down to
single-user mode if you would like it to come back on
automatically when the power comes back up.

 An electrical power outage is scheduled on June 1, 2013 for
the following buildings:

 *No power from 8:00am to 8:45am for the following buildings:

  Andrews Amphitheatre
  Art Building
  Bilger Hall/Bilger Addition
  Building 37

 *HIG Building*

  IT Building and Construction Site
  Krauss Hall/Annex
  Kuykendall Hall/Annex
  Sakamaki Hall



Due to the power outages central air conditioning systems will need to
be shut down as follows:

  *No central air from 6:00am to 12:00 noon for the following buildings:


  Art Building
  Bilger Hall/Bilger Addition
  Building 37

  *HIG*

  Krauss Hall/Annex
  Kuykendall Hall
  Sakamaki Hall

These outages are necessary to facilitate replacement of apad-mounted
transformer for the new IT building. Please inform your staff members,
faculty and students accordingly. Your cooperation is appreciated.
