NIST, the FAA and the Department of Transportation have all banned  
Windows Vista, Office 2007 and IE7.
The FAA, in-particular, is looking at making the ban permanent and  
moving to linux.

Microsoft's NAP looks like a way to grab back the corporate desktop  
to me.   What are the chances you can
connect to a NAP-protected server from a machine that isn't running a  
fully-patched version of Vista?
