[LUAU] FreeBSD console screensavers and Dell workstation

Any ideas why my fire console screensaver will not work? When it hits blanktime the monitor just goes 'out of sync range' like no signal. 
when i do a kldload all i get is "file exists" message. When i use "daemon" it works fine. I tried Makeing the file again but i get message "illegal variable". 
also i'm using a dell dimension 8300 w/512mb but everytime it reboots BIOS tells me that its in OS install mode and reduces the RAM to 256MB. I turn it off but every reboot it seems to turn itself back on. Advice? 
BTW this is on FreeBSD 5.2.1 w/ Phenix BIOS. And the kernel is GENERIC.
