[LUAU] VC and Linux

Last week's "The Economists" had an article about the resurengence of 
venture capital activities.  It specifically mentioned two hot areas: 
healthcare and "Linux".

On a side note, the highly anticipated IPO (initial public offering) of 
Google should generate a lot of attention.  As we all know, Google's two 
founders, two Stanford dropouts who discovered that huge business 
opportunities can be developed based from Linux when they were still 
working on their Ph.D. dissertations at Stanford's "Bill Gates Computer 
Laboratory," are already among Forbe's 500 richest billionaires (even b4 
Google goes public).

Our VC activities are definitely not nearly as vibrant as those in the 
Bay area or even in Shanghai.  But because our island is so small, the 
probability of running into someone who is associated with a VC is 
actually higher than most other places.  wayne
