Subject: [luau] measuring sustained disk rates

Is there a tool for measuring sustained disk rates?
I'm trying to think up or find a way to test the long
term to-disk performance of a system I have (scsi
disks set to raid-0), but haven't been able to find
anything that quite fits. The system is already fully
loaded (no empty partition space), so I think timing
filesystem creation is probably out.

The only thing I've been able to think up has been to
just write an application that creates and writes
files, but I'm wondering if there's already a tool
available that could be used for this. I haven't
found anything so far.
