Yeah, ok, I now understand SRPMS much better, and after going through the
2.4.20-8 and the 2.4.22-1.2115.nptl SRPMS, I do see a lot of stuff in
there that seems to indicate that RML's preemptive kernel has been added.
What threw me through a loop is that it seems to be hardcoded.

Both in regards to a patched 2.4 (patched with the rml preemptive patch) and the
2.6 kernel (with the preemptive code integrated with the kernel)
"preemptivity" was an option you selected in "make config".  For the RH
kernel, it seems like it's built in, which kind of seems odd.

The preemptive kernel patch is not explicitly included.  The only
references I see that might apply to the preemptive functionality are in
the linux-2.4.20-o1-sched+threading-backport.patch, but there doesn't seem
to be enough there.  A lot of the function calls I'd expect aren't there.
But maybe it's integrated with other stuff.

But it gives me hope, thanks.  Maybe I'll hit the redhat developers list
or something.
