[luau] Old C++ Libraries

Hi folks:
I'm trying to get the linux version of the APC power chute to install, but
I need libstdc++.so.2.8 and Mandrake is currently on version 5....so far
I've tried some of the archives but egcs...wouldn't install on mandrake 9
and I've only been able to find it in rpm format so far.

Anyone got an old mandrake machines (intel) around that has this old
library?
