 Subject: LINUX C/C++ POSITION

 P,

 Thanks very much for offering to help me to find a Linux C/C++ programmer
 for my equity-arbitrage trade advisory (hedge fund) business in Honolulu.
 The primary project will involve the development of a proprietary,
 trade-analysis and execution system. The system will perform the following
 basic functions:

 1. parse streaming financial data from a commercial provider (e.g.,
 Reuters, S&P Comstock) using their documented API,
 2. place data into custom in-memory data structures,
 3. persist data onto disk into an array database,
 4. code algorithms that analyze the data and generate trading instructions,
 5. communicate order information with third parties using the Financial
 Information Exchange protocol,
 6. process and manage order information.

 The system will have to be very fast, robust, and easy to debug on a
 real-time basis.

 The ideal person will have a good understanding of the following:

 1.  programming in C and/or C++,
 2.  the Linux operating system,
 3. memory management techniques (efficiently processing large volumes of
 real-time data), and
 4. data structures and embedded databases.

 The position will not require a background in finance and would be an
 opportunity to learn about the financial markets.

 Any interested parties should send their resume to
 prospero-temp at hawaii.rr.com or contact me on my cell phone (330-9505) if
 they have any questions.

 Kind regards,
 Nelson Nomura
