Yes and no! If I connect the firewall directly to a client using a
crossover cable, each can ping the other. But when I connect them via my
switch, they no longer can. Is the switch messing up my routing somehow?
The switch definitely works, I am able to connect the linksys router
this way, and from the leds on both the NIC and the switch there is
traffic going back and forth between the switch and the firewall, but
ping fails.

Yes

> Is the DNS set properly on the internal client computers?

They're all using static IP numbers.
