This article has a good explanation as to why IBM dropped Linux laptops.  It
is the simple fact that Linux users want to save money, and IBM laptops are
NOT cheap.  This also explains why Wal Mart is making all this good press
with Microtel barebones, Lindows or Mandrake machines.
