[luau] lcd/flatpanel monitor question

I use a LCD monitor from sylvania ( the company that makes light bilbs and
stuff) and i read the manual and it said that it was linux compatible.  I
got it for my birthday from costco.  it was around $500 not a bad price for
17" LCDs.
