[luau] a generic system

I'm looking for a P3 box that would be considered as "generic" of "vanilla"
as possible, preferably something I could buy locally, and perferably under
or around $600.  I need something that I can use as sort of a baseline
against more specialized or custom systems and various software/programming
issues I have.

Can anyone recommend a box and a place to buy it from?
