I've been posting interesting links and articles over the past year, but
I realize that I don't have enough time to do this alone.

If you find an good article that you think may interest other people on
the list, please post it to LUAU. Please follow the following
guidelines to make the list easier to read for all members.

1. Subject contains something in bold characters denoting that it is an
announcement and not just normal conversation. Stuff like NEWS:,
REQUEST:, ANNOUNCE:, RELEASE:, etc.
2. URL to information.
3. Short description and/or quotes. Just posting a URL alone is useless
because it wont pique anyone's interest enough to click it.

Example of a Bad News Post:

Subject: bad news

this is an outrage!

Example of a Good News Post:
To: luau at videl.ics.hawaii.edu

old Joe Bob Smith, creator of the Linux X-Box emulator. Citing
violations of the DMCA and CBDTPA anti-circumvention provisions, if
convicted Smith faces up to 25 years of jail time and up to $20 million
dollars in fines. The EFF plans on fighting this legal battle, but they
need more monetary donations to do so.
