Samba Question

I have two Samba servers each with a small workgroup
of Win98 machines in two separate builing to far apart
to connect by cable. Both servers are connected to the
internet via a linksys router and then to to hele.net
using a DSL connection. I was reading in Using Samba
about SSL with Samba.  Could I use this in some way to
be able to connect and browse both workgoups securely.

Thanks to anyone that can help with some ideas.
