Aloha-

Can anyone reccomend a Java compatible DB that runs on a localhost without a
server, such as for basic persistence and runtime large object management?

Borland's JDataStore would be perfect, but it's got a $100/deployment seat
license.

The Enhydra project has a note about a kDB product. However it appears to
not yet be in the planning stages, and it unclear wheter exactly it is the
right thing.

thanks-
rod g
