networking advice

I need some advice/opinions about networking 2 computers (A & B). Computer A 
is running Linux and will be the "server" and computer B is running windows 
95. If I set up computer A to do IP aliasing, that should allow computer B to 
get internet and email access, but will Samba need to be installed to allow 
file sharing as well? Computer A has a fat32 hard drive, and I want to be 
able to access this drive from Computer B. Any suggestions?
