This is a one-test certification available from CompTIA (www.comptia.org),
the organization known for the A+ hardware certification. The exam (number
XK0-001) consists of 95 multiple-choice questions. Candidates are allowed
two hours to complete the exam.  The score is adjusted to fall between 100
and 900, with 655 being the minimum passing score. The cost for the exam is
$190 (U.S.). A $50 discount is available for employees of CompTIA member
companies.
The exam consists of seven categories, or "domains." Each domain comprises
several sub-objectives, which I will describe in detail. Note that some
sub-objectives simply require common sense and don't lend themselves to
