Bigger number means better!

But seriously, Mandrake 8.1 has several nice improvements, but if your
current system is stable and you don't need the latest software then you
don't need to upgrade.  The more notable improvements are a lot nicer KDE,
latest GNOME, more journaling filesystems and a more stable kernel.  Your
choice.
