DSL/Cable modem bonding

It's not so much the lack of BGP experts, but the lack of Autonomous
System Numbers (ASN). ARIN (Autonomous Registry of Internet Numbers) has
only 65535 ASNs to assign in IPv4, and most of those are gone. For a
network to have two Internet connections with multiple gateways, there
needs to be an ASN for that router. I have had to deal with this, and on
the provider end it takes a great deal of setup. On the customer end,
getting an ASN costs $500 and must be approved by ARIN. Unless you have
a legitimate need for it, ARIN won;t assign it. There are large
resources about BGP routing online, but unless you really understand IP
REALLY well, it won't do you much good. There are many parts of it that
are above my head.
