serial console

hiya,
anyone know off the top of their head if serial console support
is enabled in the mandrake linux kernel (7.2)?

and if so, are multiple devices supported (serial+vga) or does
it default to serial if no vga card is present?

if no one knows, could someone tell me which distro has the
multiple device option in the default install?
