hi Steve, I too have the USB trackball and I have it working under
slackware 7.1 with kernel 2.4.5 and i had it working under the 2.4.3
kernel. You will have to rebuild the kernel to support USB then there are a
few things you will need to do to make it work. So, which kernel do you
have? Is the USB support turned on? and if so let me know and i will try
and help you with getting it to work.
Jon

Subject: [luau] USB support
'Newbie Alert'
Aloha,
Not only new to Linux but HI also ;)
I am wanting to install Debian (I'm downloading the iso file as I type
this).
I have grown very fond of my USB trackball mouse and was wondering if
Debian
supports USB out of the box, so to speak, or will I have to jump through
some hoops to get it to work? i.e. kernel recompile
I have poked around Debian's site but can't find any reference to this.
Thanks in advance,
Steve
