DHCP & Cable modem SOLVED

Unless there is something else new, what I have seen is a USB-to-Ethernet
connector that takes the place of your NIC card.  The modem is still the
same so you can ignore the USB adapter and plug your own Ethernet NIC card
straight to the modem.
