DHCP & Cable modem

Would you be able to bring that machine to our seminar on Thursday night?  Here is the information for that seminar http://www.mplug.org/events/seminar4.html  We have a DHCP network on campus, so we may be able to quickly diagnose and fix your problem.

  Here's some of my configs, a snip of the logs, and a few ifconfigs
  while trying to run dhcpcd from a command line.
   
  When this is happening, the modem lights hardly blink.
   
  I've tried this on both eth0, and on eth1 where I have a
  ne2000 config'd and working.  Same results.

  If I pull the rj45 out of the modem and plug it into
  my hub and set it up to run on a local network, everything
  works fine, on both interfaces.  This leads me to believe
  the cards are set up just fine.
   
  On earlier versions I did have to install dhcp, w/6.2 i was
  able to get things working right out of the box.  
   
  Am I missing something?
