DHCP & Cable modem

Thanks for all the information, everyone, but still no luck.

Here's some of my configs, a snip of the logs, and a few ifconfigs
while trying to run dhcpcd from a command line.

When this is happening, the modem lights hardly blink.

I've tried this on both eth0, and on eth1 where I have a
ne2000 config'd and working. Same results.

If I pull the rj45 out of the modem and plug it into
my hub and set it up to run on a local network, everything
works fine, on both interfaces. This leads me to believe
the cards are set up just fine.

On earlier versions I did have to install dhcp, w/6.2 i was
able to get things working right out of the box.

Am I missing something?

  Both pump and dhcpd have always worked for me on Hawaii Roadrunner, with
every version of Red Hat between 6.0 and 7.1. pump is currently running on
several home firewalls that I've configured, currently running Redhat 7.0
and 7.1.

  Here is my /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0

  DEVICE="eth0"
  ONBOOT="yes"
  BOOTPROTO="dhcp"
  IPADDR=""
  NETMASK="255.255.255.0"
  GATEWAY=""

    Have you tried this here in Hawaii ??

    If so what does your /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0

    Look like ?? is there more to your example ??

    I found using RedHat 5.2 actually works right out of the Box I have
tried Numerous times with

    6.0 and above.

     Thanks in advance
