Both pump and dhcpd have always worked for me on Hawaii Roadrunner, with every version of Red Hat between 6.0 and 7.1. pump is currently running on several home firewalls that I've configured, currently running Redhat 7.0 and 7.1.

Here is my /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0

DEVICE="eth0"
ONBOOT="yes"
BOOTPROTO="dhcp"
IPADDR=""
NETMASK="255.255.255.0"
GATEWAY=""

  Have you tried this here in Hawaii ??

  If so what does your /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0

  Look like ?? is there more to your example ??

  I found using RedHat 5.2 actually works right out of the Box I have tried Numerous times with

  6.0 and above.

   Thanks in advance
