Redhat 7.x uses xinetd instead of inetd due to certain security problems.
Run "setup",  you should find the options in there, or edit the individual files within /etc/xinet.d/ (I think its called that.)

Be sure to disable lpd, telnet and FTP or you will be cracked by a worm.  Use rhn_register and up2date to upgrade those packages in order to be safe.

  Had some problems with redhat 7.1 so I went back to 7.0, I'm still used to slackware, in redhat 7.1 ftp/telnet are disabled by default but ssh and sftp were on by default.. I want to disabled telnet/ftp but can't find where, slack has good old inetd.conf...
