VLAN Support in Linux Kernel

It looks like there are several Linux kernel patches available that enable
VLAN support. The preferred method is treating each VLAN as separate
virtual ethernet devices. This greatly simplifies things, allowing VLAN
integration without introducing new options to ip, ifconfig and arp* tools,
and allowing for Netfilter/iptables policies to deal with permissions on the
Linux side.
