Brand new to linux, firewall question...

Guess i am part of the way there. The linux machine is an amdk6/2 with 32
megs sdram. We are on roadrunner. Have a 5 port 1 uplink d-link switch. Only
things i have done so far is to get the linux machine running with all the
added hardware (we had extra stuff, sound card etc) and the linux box can
ping and recieve pings from all other computers. (3 windows machines, winme
for now, but one will be win2K very soon). The windows puter are using peer
to peer.. plus an extra I.P. Guess i will have to get another nic for the
linux box as there is only one on there now and it wouldn't recognize any of
the cheap noname nics (as a second nic) that we have in a box.
Thank you for the info. Will check out that program later.
Kim
