I have talked to Yu Mi Ozaki over at Square USA, about buying a booth at the
show, so they can demonstrate their Linux technology, and she had little
interest. They are a for profit company that has the ability to pay for a
booth, I would really like to see them purchase a dedicated space for them
to showcase their technology. If you guys want to have them do a demo in
your booth, I don't mind, but they can't promote their company (your booth
is for educational purposes and membership development, not sales or company
promotion). What I think would be great is if they were in the booth right
next to you, then they could generate traffic and interest in Linux, sort of
a Linux area of the floor. If you guys know of anyone else there that I
should talk to about getting them involved, I would be happy to contact
them.

On another note, they were nominated for a Pono Tech award for their
technology.

Keep the ideas flowing,

Oh my god! I can't breathe.... I'm so excited with this idea...

Have you folks thought of asking Squaresoft for a demonstration of Linux in
professional graphics work? Squaresoft is the largest user of Linux in the
State with their SGI render farm used for the Final Fantasy movie. It would
be AWESOME for our booth if we could have a Linux or CG tech from Squaresoft
to represent the computer graphics power of Linux clusters. Perhaps we
could setup a small but flashy demonstration as part of the Linux multimedia
portion, showing some Squaresoft graphics demo.
