At this seminar we will be covering the technical basics of how mail services work on the Internet, discussing the protocols involved, DNS MX, MTA, MUA, POP3, IMAP4, web based e-mail and an overview of several of the common Unix mail server software packages.  

Ho'ala Greevy will be demonstrating installation and configuration of the high performance, secure qmail Unix e-mail server.  Ho'ala is a former engineer of Critical Path, where he maintained millions of mail boxes using the qmail mail transport agent.
