I went to the OpenOffice.org web pages to see what's up.  It looks like this is
still in Beta and definately not ready for prime time use.  Did I miss
something or what?

 it's own desktop thingy like StarOffice?  That is my main complaint about 
 StarOffice, you have to open their whole damn desktop thing and it takes 
 way too many resources.
