Actually, you are supposed to be able to do resolution, you merely
cannot make connections to other hosts until you login.

So, back to the "Can't login with redhat 6"
More information will go a longer way in helping debug your problem.

Perhaps you can run dhcpcd in debug mode (as well as rrsmpcd), check
your logs and find something lurking in there?  As far as I'm concerned,
there is no problem using dhcpcd-1.3.17pl5 with kernel 2.2 and newer,
and rrsmpcd / rrlogind have worked fine for me.
