<H3><b>AMD Announces 64-Bit Web Server Support From Zeus Technology Ltd.</b></H3>
<a href="#Hilite">Jump to first matched term</a><p> NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 25, 2002--At PC EXPO, <font color="red" class="bheader"><a name="Hilite">AMD</a></font> (NYSE:<font color="red" class="bheader">AMD</font>) today announced support from Zeus Technology Ltd. for <font color="red" class="bheader">AMD's</font> upcoming eighth-generation processors.
<p><font color="red" class="bheader">AMD</font> also demonstrated a 64-bit Zeus Web server application ported on a system based on the upcoming <font color="red" class="bheader">AMD</font> Opteron(tm) processor.
<p>The Zeus Web Server was demonstrated on a four-way <font color="red" class="bheader">AMD</font> Opteron processor-based system using a 64-bit Linux operating system. The demonstration simulated Web pages being served to an <font color="red" class="bheader">AMD</font> Opteron processor-based system with simulated network traffic of up to 500 concurrent users. The <font color="red" class="bheader">AMD</font> Opteron processor is designed to help provide investment protection, running existing 32-bit applications with unsurpassed performance, and offering customers a seamless transition to 64-bit technology.
<p>"This demonstration of Zeus' inventive Web server technologies, along with <font color="red" class="bheader">AMD's</font> eighth-generation processors, shows how we can provide enterprise-class Web serving capability and stability to all commercial customers, from small business to the enterprise," said Ed Ellett, vice president of marketing for <font color="red" class="bheader">AMD's</font> Computational Products Group.
