Sounds OK to me.

I think news items would be fine on linuxhi.org.  Things like Mandrake just released new iso and such, is exactly what that type of site is for.  Newbies should get in the habit of looking at a site for that type of info.  Plus, that type of site makes it very easy to follow a specific thread.  The mailing list is getting too much traffic for many people to follow.  All the traffic doesn't bother me, but I think it would be a waste to have multiple mailing lists.
