I would have to agree, Koffice will hopefully be great some day, but not yet. And OpenOffice is still beta and not as stable as it's predasessor StarOffice yet. Hopefully the full release will be awesome! I will probally purchase the latest copy of Applix so I can find out how is compares. I only have Applixware 4.3.7 right now, but it does everything I need. Once I get the new version, you could borrow it to see how close it comes to meeting the needs in the legal office. After a quick google search it seems that there are numerous standardized legal documents that are in MS Word format and use alot of macros. I also found that there (atleast was) is a problem with them being infected with macro viruses. > > > >I have not had any stability problems with staroffice. What stability issues are you having? Have you ever tried Applix(http://www.vistasource.com/products). Applix was great back in the early 90's when I first started using it and was still great in 99 when I started using StarOffice. I started using staroffice because it was free and even though Applix was much better (I hated the desktop in StarOffice and it was a resource hog). I seem to remember that Applix had Macros, but Ihave no idea how robust or compatible they would be with MS. I might have to buy the new version of Applix to see how it compares today. > > > >Dusty > > > > > --- > You are currently subscribed to luau as: dusty@sandust.com > To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub') "Linux is for people who hate Windows.
