We have to not let this kind of thing bother us! Even though that is very difficult, since this is so unbelievably ignorant of the facts. The gov't (ie courts) has no clue about technology and politicians get financial support from technology. So "we the people" have to deal with it!!! Our country needs to pass laws that ALL internet compatible material (data, video, mp3, etc) is freely redistributable for NON-comercail use. Basically if a company creates a product that can be shared over the internet, we can share it without fear of attack! This will of course never happen! And our gov't needs to pass laws that our tax dollars can only be spent on open source software solutions. If the source code of your application is not freely available on the internet, then I don't want my gov't paying you to advance it.
