I am replying to you and the list here, I apologize for not keeping
all this on the list. Anyway, the cable has been specifically built and
tested for directly connecting two computers. It worked great
recently, then I had a hardware failure (new motherboard and fresh
install of a new OS as a result) As I rebuild, I'm changing a few
things around so a simple restore won't work here...
