Dynamic DNS is working fine for me.  

Road Runner here is much better than Cox in San Diego.  They did port scans on systems looking for port 21,23,25,80,etc and would threaten to shut you down if they found them.  Plus installers would leave if you mentioned Linux.  Linux users had standard firewall config to block all traffic from known Cox admin systems!
