where I'm going wrong. I've read everything sent to me and tried various
resolution/vert/hor settings as per my monitor's manual, but still can't get
Xwindows working.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT color=#800000 face="Lucida Sans Unicode"> Basically, it always
fails at the same point. After everything is configured, the XF86Setup
program tries to call up the server to apply the settings. The XF86_Ma64
server never gets that call. I get a blue screen with a window in it which
states that it's attempting to call up the server, after which I get another
stating that the first attempt failed and it's going to attempt another
time. After that one fails also, I get the error message in the root
window stating that there was no connection possible with the server. I
have all the appropriate *.rpm files loaded, but still can't even get to where
vidtune kicks in. This is really frustrating, and if anyone has the
patience to deal with me and this problem, I could really use more
help.</FONT></DIV>
