Speaker: Tryggvi Bjorgvinsson, PhD candidate

Bio:  Tryggvi is a PhD student at the University of Iceland researching free and open source software.  He is an active member of RGLUG (Reykjavik GNU/Linux Users Group) and the chairman of FSFI, an organization which serves, protects and fights for digital freedom in Iceland.

Presentation: Covering the following topics:

* RGLUG, the Reykjavik GNU/Linux User Group which is the only LUG in Iceland (but with only 300,000 inhabitants in Iceland, that's a pretty high per-capita number of LUGs)

* FSFI, (Free Software Foundation Iceland) the organization for digital freedom in Iceland, an umbrella organization for various freedom fighting groups.

* The "Famous Five" - A task list of the aforementioned organizations, consisting of five projects that members are currently working on.

* Conferences on digital freedom - Planned conferences in Iceland for this year and next (two planned).

* The Icelandic government's policy on free and open source software.  The new policy released last week by the Icelandic government on free and open source software.

Directions to the event:
Take Dole Street Koko Head bound (East) and turn Mauka (toward the mountains) on East West Rd.  Take the first possible left turn onto an unnamed access road and park in Lot #11.  If there is a guard in the Kiosk there, just mention that you're there to attend the "Open Source Pizza" presentation.
