While Moglen gave both speechs to technical audiences, I think the  
import of what he said extends far beyond our community. His  
presentation is about freedom in the sense that matters to anyone who  
cares about democracy, speech, culture, education, or what kind of  
society we live in. Moglen said so himself:

[T]ell people it's free as in freedom. Tell them that if you don't  
tell them anything else. Because they need to know.
