I guess you've never heard of "negotiation." Of course the employment agency
is going to try to get you as cheap as possible. That's capitalism! If they
get somebody at $25/hr. they're getting what they deserve...

Twenty-five bucks an hour? For an honestly skilled network installation gig
that needs more than just "stick the box in the rack" but includes
configuration, documentation, client training and probably more? Somebody
*PLEASE* tell me that's not the going rate for that level of work in
Hawaii!!

Furrfu, for a job like that here (DC area, where I actually market myself
for that sort of thing as a conslutant), I'd be charging 100 to 150 an
hour, depending on the client! And I'm not over-pricing myself, either, I
do check around regularly!

Otherwise, I'd love to follow up to that person for the job, I could fly
out to do contract work there!

Sorry, I'm OT - post to come about customizing Linux to fit on USB devices,
after I get my thoughts together on that.
