I do not have enough experience with CentOS to know if the upgrade issue is a 
trend or an anomaly.

BV: I've got the PC back to the user having gotten through all the upgrades 
except those involving OpenOffice. Will try Vince's apt suggestion when time 
allows.

Don't let it rock your faith, Blake.  You are making a 
wise and patient upgrade from your RedHat box.  We may want to share a Novell 
Linux disk with you for further R&D.

BV: The conversion to RH came at a most opportune time. Except for some 
hardware issues at the start, the server has been purring along beautifully. 
Novell Linux disk??

It is time for us to look at some more donations to HARC.  We have a lot of 
computers.
